According to Bloody Disgusting är Franck Khalfoun på gång för att regissera en ny Amityville-film. Khalfoun är mannen som gav oss remaken av Maniac med Elijah Wood.

Amityville-filmen hade tidigare titeln The Amityville Horror: The Lost Tapes och stod under Dimension Films flagg. Då beskrevs den som en uppföljare till remaken som kom 2005. Enligt BD så för nu Franck Khalfoun diskussioner om att regissera filmen och man befinner sig redan i förproduktion, vilket innebär att rollbesättningen borde vara i full gång. Daniel Farrands och Casey La Scala har skrivit manuset och Blumhouse Productions kommer att producera för Dimension Films med planerad premiär 2 januari 2015.

Synopsis:
”An ambitious female television news intern, on the verge of breaking the most famous haunted house case in the world, leads a team of journalists, clergymen, and paranormal researchers into an investigation of the bizarre events that will come to be known as The Amityville Horror… only to unwittingly open a door to the unreal that she may never be able to close”.
